Great to see you posting again, Rufus! This place looks beautiful!
Also, I’m happy to report that early this year I finally got myself a Chinook — a ’77 pop top with an original floor plan like the “pristine Chinook” and “Beautiful Gazelle” vehicles you showed us in past posts. Interior is in great shape with all working appliances. Had some brake work done, replaced the carb & drove it home from California to Georgia with no problems. Since then I’ve installed a fuel pressure regulator, fixed some wiring in the fridge, reinforced the floor with 3 aluminum beams and installed an electrical inverter to run AC devices from the second battery. Just need to have some body work done on some rust holes in the upper body panels, tighten up the steering and I’m good to go! (Can’t wait to take it on some more enjoyable adventures… I was too busy crossing my fingers to have much fun on my cross-country drive home!)
